This statement describes mechanism of initiation of platelet plug formation as following.....

Normally, intact endothelial lining is smooth preventing platelet's adherence and activation.

On vascular injury, the subendothelial collagen is exposed causing adherence of the platelets to it helped by both receptors on platelets and VWF causing platelet activation followed by aggregation and plug formation..............

Clot formation: occurs in injured vessel and it is a physiological process aims to stop bleeding.

Thrombosis: occurs in intact vessel and it is a pathological process that may obstruct a vessel and it may occur in conditions like atherosclerosis.

Recanalization: means to reopen the vessel i.e. after clot formation and healing of vessel wall, fibrinolytic system dissolves the clot to return it it to previus normal condition.

Most of clotting factors are considered as proteolytic enzymes, but others are considered as cofactors as calcium i.e. factor IV

You are welcome for any question.

Good luck
