Mechanisms of action of antibodies

Mchanisms of of actions of antibodies (discussd in my lecture file and sound):may be direct or indirect



Direct actions mean that antibody reacts with antigen causing inactivation of antigen by either precipitation, opsonization, neutralization and lysis then removal of end products by phagocytes (try to concentrate while seeing the animation).




Indirect actions means that antibodies react through certain protein structures in the blood which are called complement system that when activated destroys the antigen

This animation tried to explain how antibodies work to get rid of antigen and fate of each process.
